I have been working from home for a little over 5 years now, and I have a few home office essentials that I swear by. Whether you’re hustling on your side gig or conquering the corporate world from the comfort of your couch, having an organized home office setup is an absolute game-changer.
These products are great finds that absolutely make my life easier, and I cannot recommend them more!
This post is all about home office essentials.
1. Sleek and Functional Desk
A great desk is a must-have, and lately stand-up desks have become increasingly popular. Sitting all day is not good for anyone, and these stand-up desks allow you to be able to get a little bit of movement in even if you’re stuck in back to back calls for hours (the worstttt days). Amazon is the best option for stand-up desks – I have this desk in particular that I love, and have linked a few other options as well.
2. A Comfy Chair
The second most important item next to a cute desk is a comfy chair (bonus points if it’s ergonomyic). If you want to go with a super chic, cozy look, go with this sherpa option from Amazon. This one in particular has gone viral on Tik Tok lately because of it’s size and how comfortable it is! Or, if you’re looking for something more modern, this suede option is really stunning.
3. Planner
I am incredibly “Type A” and absolutely must have a plan for the week in order to be able to function. If you’re like me, a planner is essential to the work from home game. I really like these planners from Erin Condren, and Target has a few great options as well.
4. Acrylic Calendar & Whiteboard
I bought this set from Amazon a couple years ago and can attest that I still use them DAILY. The acrylic calendar lives on my fridge at home the whiteboard is an awesome tool for your daily “to-do” lists when you begin your workday. Also linked are a few other super cute options for personalized calendars.
5. Digital Display Clock
Digital display clocks are not only super cute, but also functional. Time management is essential when working from home, and having a clock that is visual will keep you accountable and on schedule. Choose a sleek and modern design that complements your workspace aesthetic, like this option from Amazon.
6. Aesthetic Deck Accessories
Clearly we’re seeing a pattern here with making your space not only functional, but also a place you’ll want to be because it aligns with your personal style. I think having a matching desk accessories kit is definitely not essential to be able to get your work done, but something you may enjoy that keeps you motivated to keep going throughout the workday.
7. Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is essential for staying focused throughout the day. I’m personally a Brumate Eras girl over Stanley, but both are great options! Either will be a great reminder to drink plenty of H2O and stay refreshed and alert during those long work sessions.
8. Noise-Canceling Headphones
Block out distractions and create a focused work environment with noise-canceling headphones. Whether you’re tuning into a virtual meeting or zoning in on a project, these Beats Studio Pro headphones will help you stay in the zone and get stuff done without interruptions.
9. Accessories Charging Pad
Keep your devices charged and ready to go with an accessories charging pad. This Courant Catch charging pad is a little bit on the pricey side, but I personally love it especially since I don’t have to worry about tangled cords and messy charging stations.
10. Candle
I feel like candles always help to level up a space, especially your home office where you spend tons of time during the week. I’m a sucker for a good candle, and really love the options from Hearth & Hand as well as Studio McGee from Target. Capri Blue candles are amazing too – and they burn for forever!
11. Drawer Organizers
Keep your desk drawers neat and tidy with the help of drawer organizers. Sort and categorize your supplies, stationery, and accessories for easy access and maximum efficiency. With everything in its rightful place, you’ll spend less time searching for things and more time getting stuff done.
With these home office essentials by your side, you’ll be unstoppable in your remote work journey. Here’s to creating a workspace that inspires creativity, productivity, and success!
